Once you accept your job offer at INL, the next crucial step is to complete your onboarding process. Please prepare and submit the following documents via the R&S digital platform:

  1. Passport or National Identity Card

  2. Proof of Current Residence: Obtain from Parish or Finance Services, translated into English, Portuguese, or Spanish.

  3. Family Certificates: Include marriage, common-law union, and/or birth certificates, if applicable.

  4. Digital Photo: Provide a recent photo of yourself for your temporary badge.

  5. Registration Form: Complete and submit the form as instructed.

These documents are essential for finalizing your onboarding and ensuring a smooth start at INL.

Tax Registration

As a newcomer to Portugal, obtaining a Portuguese Tax Identification Number (NIF) is a crucial step upon your arrival. The NIF, also known as Número de Contribuinte, is essential for interactions with Portuguese authorities and is required for your enrollment in Portuguese Social Security. It is also necessary for various aspects of settling in Braga, such as signing a rental contract, opening a bank account, and accessing housing services.

HR will schedule an appointment for you with the Portuguese Finance Services and provide you with the details of the time and date. On the day of your appointment, our Legal Services team will accompany you to assist with the process.

HR will prepare the necessary documents for you, but please remember to bring your passport and visa (if applicable) to the appointment.
